it took some courage to do this
my work is pretty personal,
but i don't see how it could hurt.
in fact, i hope it helps, someone.
here goes nothing.
pray the day:
It's here we start our day,
on knees in humble prayer.
though tests and trials in our way,
Christ's love we'll seek to share.
Help us lift another's burdens
and bring them from their knees.
Be an example of the believer,
in word, in thought, in deed.
Satan tries to trick us,
off our righteous course.
Just one time won't hurt me,
but oh, the pains of remorse.
And here we are on our knees again,
Satan's temptations led us astray.
Pleading forgiveness, from our sin
repenting, and promising to obey.
The Holy Ghost warms and testifies,
our Father's unconditional love.
The testimony that within us lies,
is recorded in the courts above.
Our sins remind us of He that lives,
and died for you and me,
in this we find strength to forgive,
with hopes to be like He.
Though the day is not over,
night is drawing nigh.
And again on our knees we pray,
our pleadings to the sky.
Father, help us, courage, be strong.
That one day, we may return to thee.
Help us endure these trials long,
seek thy kingdom and live eternally.
Monotonous and repetitive is sometimes the way,
we talk to God at the end of each day,
but turn to God each day from the start,
Humble, sincere and with an open heart.
faith is more:
Faith is more than what we say,
faith is how we act each day.
Fath is more than praying day and night,
faith is praying with all your might.
Faith is more than just teaching,
faith is Christ-like examplary preaching.
Faith is more than being hungry for an hour,
faith is fasting for strength and power.
Faith is more than hope for things,
faith is knowing we're queens and kings.
Faith is what will take us there,
to God's kingdom as joint-heirs.
the road life takes:
Along the road life takes,
there's room for many mistakes,
but to God's retreat,
it's a one way street,
His directions never forsake.
Signs and help along the way,
but if I happen to disobey,
bumpy and long,
afflictions drag on,
The straight and narrow, I must stay.
Hail, wind, and lots of storms,
chase away the light and warmth.
Satan will tempt,
no one's exempt,
Don't fall into the worldly norm.
Sometimes the roads become a mess,
pray, take caution, and do what's best.
Turn on your lights,
destination in sight.
Stay on the path to peace and rest.
God's Hand:
Sometimes we take for granted,
or do not recognize,
God's hand in a single moment,
working to shape our lives.
Contemplate, consider the thought,
coincidences - there are none.
This truth and wisdom has been taught,
God has a plan for everyone.
Open your heart, and open your eyes,
His blessings and miracles, unlimited supply.
His involvement is holy, guiding and celestial
helping you reach your greatest potential.
But do not fail to realize,
His love for you and me.
Make Him the center of our lives,
His hand we'll finally see.
Your Constant Companion:
He whispers quietly in your ear,
hoping you have a desire to hear,
counsel from God to help you each day.
This constant companion won't lead you astray.
And if we promise to live worthily,
in our hearts he'll always be.
His voice is soft, gentle and still,
helping you do your Father's will.
Talk to him always, seek his advice,
with every decision be sure to think twice.
He'll guide you along the straight pathway
'till you stand before Christ on Judgement Day.
If you listened and chose the right,
Christ's grace is sufficient, you're pure in His sight.
If He Appeared:
If Christ appeared at my house one day,
I try to imagine what I'd do and say.
Would I avoid His gaze and put on a show,
hoping inside me, that He wouldn't know,
that I've lost who I am and can't find my way,
and with guilt I remember the price that He paid.
But He sees right through me and knows what I've done,
regrets surround me, I want to turn and run.
Satan takes over in that single moment,
I'm not worthy enough for the atonement.
His grace overwhelms me, as does His love.
But questions arise, "Am I fit for above?"
The Holy Ghost warms me just to reassure,
Christ died that I may repent and be pure.
or
Could I tell my Savior and brother, It's me!
I've lived every moment with thoughts of thee.
I have tried my best to do what is right,
by living the gospel and sharing the light.
I've made my share of mistakes, I'm sure,
but through repentance, I'm made clean and pure.
Could my Redeemer look at me and see,
I've done all I can with what He's given me?
Did I try to help others along the way,
that we may all return to him someday?
Can I testify and witness of His love?
By faith we can reach His courts above.
When He appears I hope I can say
that I've done my best every single day.
I try to imagine what I'd do and say.
Would I avoid His gaze and put on a show,
hoping inside me, that He wouldn't know,
that I've lost who I am and can't find my way,

temple blessings:
The temple's a place
to feel the spirit,
receive inspiration
when you need to hear it.
Perspective's change,
and here you can see
our Savior's love
in a glimpse of eternity.
Here you can learn your
potential as Gods
if you stay on His path
and hold the the rod.
A place where we
can be sealed together
and return to his home
a family forever.
We're Never Alone:
Lonesome, and weathered, our journey can be,
weary, and unable to carry on.
But my Savior, Christ, calls "Come unto me,"
He listens and hears our sad-heart songs.
Brother, Redeemer, help lighten my load
on my knees, will I come to thee.
These burdens weigh down, on life's trying roads.
My Lord, My God, draw nigh unto me.
In the darkest of nights, temptations thrive,
attacking souls, famished from lack of light.
But Christ falters not, stands strong by our side.
Reassured and secured, our hope ignites.
Hope in the atonement, He died for ME,
MY sorrows and sins in the Olive Press,
were bled from each pore in Gethsemane
His unconditional love was professed.
He'll never leave us alone on our way,
and if we are humble, He will provide
comfort, advice, and strength in our days,
peace and renewed faith, in Him we confide.
AtOneMoment:
demands of justice are satisfied,
unconditional love encompasses all,
perfect mercy, continuously supplied,
the grace of God, because we fall.
repentance that we may be cleansed of sin,
hope in His great plan of happiness.
the way prepared to be with Him again,
his selfless suffering for our eternal bliss.
